Our imaging department is another of our 24/7 departments that assists the physician in diagnosing and treating your illness. This department also plays a significant role in assisting the Emergency Department with their mission as well as providing outpatient and inpatient services.
The imaging department provides several specialized procedures to assist our medical staff. These include Ultrasound, CT Scan, X-Ray Procedures, Mammography, Bone Density, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine. Each of these procedures provides specialized data for your physician depending on your diagnosis and depending on what the physician is investigating.
Technologists working in the imaging department are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and must keep current through continuing education. The department must meet State and Federal standards through annual inspections. In addition the hospital has special license to perform Nuclear Medicine and Mammography.
Our imaging department is staffed by a board certified Radiologist on a 24/7 basis. This means you will always have a highly trained specialist physician interpreting your procedure no matter when it is done.
