Admission to the Medical/Surgical Department is based upon the need for acute inpatient general hospital services in the presence of acute healthcare problems requiring continuous observation and medical service intervention to prevent complications and promote wellness.
All admissions to the Medical/Surgical Unit are reviewed for appropriateness and necessity on a daily basis. The department is staffed by RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s, and Ward Clerks. The department has some of the latest equipment and handles all data electronically through our Point of Care software. This electronic medical record provides more accurate data on a real time basis, which assures accurate and timely information. This in turn improves the quality of care we provide.
