The Respiratory Therapy Department of McCurtain Memorial Hospital provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for the acutely or chronically ill patient requiring inpatient or outpatient hospital services. Respiratory Therapy is provided to a full range of patients including newborns to pediatrics and young adults through geriatric patients.
Respiratory Therapeutics is based upon the presence of acute and chronic illnesses requiring continuous respiratory intervention to prevent complications and promote wellness. Services or treatments provided include nebulized broncho-dilators, mucolytics and corticosteroid medications, implementing and monitoring continuous oxygen and aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, ventilator implementation and monitoring airway care and many others including EKG’s, EEG’s and pulmonary function tests.
